The default fold styles on our site is Plain Fold. For other fold styles, please contact our customer service service@unicurt.com.

Inside Mount: Installed within the window frame for a clean, built-in look. Requires a window frame with sufficient depth(2 1/2‘’ is required) for shades to fit in.

Outside Mount: Installed on the wall or molding above the window. This can make the window appear larger and is better at preventing light from leaking around the edges.

For window frame depths less than 2 1/2”, outside mount shades are recommended.

• Measure window width from outer frame and add 2-4 inches for full coeverage.
• Measure window height from outer frame and add the height you would like the shades above the window frame. 10-12 inches is recommended so that it can fully uncover the window when the shade is up.

For inside mount Roman shades, a minimum window depth of 2 1/2” is required.

• Measure the inside width of the window at three points: the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest one and round down to the nearest 1/8 inch, then deduct 3/8 inch. That will be your Roman shades width.
• Measure the inside height from the top of the frame to the sill at three points: the left, center, and right. Use the largest one as the shades height.

For inside mounted shades, the window depth should be at least 2 1/2″, so that the shades can fit inside the windows. For depth less than that, outside mount is recommended.

Memory training is suitable for most fabrics, but not for velvet fabric.
We don’t recommend adding memory train to velvet fabric as high heat may damage velvet fibers (causing fraying, shrinking) and fade colors.

Yes. If your window frame width is 50″, you should order the shade width 49 5/8″.(please deduct 3/8 inch by yourself)

Yes! We offer cordless (manual) Roman shades as well as motorized options.

Yes, we provide motorized Roman shades with RF remote contro. Our motorized Roman shades come with remotes, by default and support up to 15 channels.

Yes! All of our Roman shades come with a headrail by default. Our headrail and brackets are made of durable aluminum alloy.

Yes, we provide lining options for all of our curtains, including drapes and Roman shades.

With different color options, they can provide extra light blocking of 20-40%.

All of our Roman shades are cordless, including manual and motorized. And cordless and motorized Roman shades are the safest options, as they eliminate dangling cords that pose a strangulation hazard.

Regular vacuuming with a brush attachment helps prevent dust buildup. Most shades should be spot-cleaned with a mild fabric-safe cleaner.
No machine wash/dry clean.

With proper care, our Roman shades can last over 5 years, depending on fabric quality, usage, and maintenance.

For custom Roman shades, it takes about 5-10 days to customize them, and another 7 days for shipment.

That is, generally, you will get your custom Roman shades within 12-17 days after ordering.
