For window frame depths less than 2 1/2'', outside mount shades are recommended.

• Measure window width from outer frame and add 2-4 inches for full coverage.
• Measure window height from outer frame and add the height you would like the shades above the window frame. 10-12 inches is recommended so that it can fully uncover the window when the shade is up.

For inside omounted shades, the window depth should be at least 2 1/2". For depth less than that, outside mount is recommended.

For inside mount Roman shades, a minimum window depth of 2 1/2'' is required.

• Measure the inside width of the window at three points: the top, middle, and bottom. Use the smallest one and round down to the nearest 1/8 inch, then deduct 3/8 inch. That will be your bamboo shades width.

Yes. If your window frame width is 50", you should order the shade width 49-5/8".(deduct 3/8 inch by yourself)

Dust regularly with a soft brush or microfiber cloth attachment on a vacuum. For deeper cleaning, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and let air dry completely. Avoid harsh chemicals or soaking.

• Woven Wood Shades: Made from a blend of natural materials (bamboo, reeds, grasses) woven with threads. Offers a varied, textured look.
• Bamboo Shades: Typically made from slats of solid bamboo, either flat (flat-cut) or with a rounded profile (roll-up). Appears more uniform.

They can be used in well-ventilated bathrooms (e.g., with an exhaust fan). However, as a natural material, prolonged exposure to high humidity can increase the risk of mold or warping. We recommend proper sizing (not touching tub) and good airflow.

We do not recommend them for full outdoor exposure. They can be used in covered, protected patios where they are shielded from direct rain, constant sun, and snow. Fading or wear may still occur over time.

Yes. Edge binding (fabric tape along the sides) is a common customization on our site that provides a finished look, helps reduce light gaps, and can add a pop of color. Please select it when ordering.
